I really wish people would stop staying it costs $200 to play when that is only one of the options. I paid the $60 version and there is an even cheaper version. If I'm not mistaken the starter pack $20 could be getting in this beta. I think those that were Star Trek subscribers and some other folks are getting in this next round and they didn't have to pay anything for this game but did pay in others.
Also at some point folks that bought the PC gamer mag will get a beta key.

They should give people with the hero pack alpha testing. 200 bucks is alot of money to throw down. You should have a bigger say.

Alpha testing is where actual testing gets done so people that have spent $ on it aren't necessary for alpha testing. It is skills not the size of a person's bank account that matters for alpha testing. Alpha testers are handpicked from the devs to test specific areas of the game. One of the guys in charge of the Foundry has asked for people that know there way around the Foundry or creating other UGC. If you created some good content with Neverwinter Nights, then there is a good chance that you might get into Foundry alpha. Therefore, it is better for the devs to get testers that actually know how to break the game. Also, Alpha testers operate under the same restrictions that Beta testers do. They don't get 24-7 access. The devs decide they want some alpha testing done during a certain period of time and Alpha testers test the game under that period of time.
